Pamlico County Genealogy Records
The county was formed in 1872 from parts of Beaufort County and Craven County. It was named for Pamlico Sound, which adjoins it. The county seat is Bayboro, North Carolina and the County is considered part of the New Bern, North Carolina, Metropolitan area.
