Clayton of Transylvania County

Lambert Clayton, the son of George and Sarah (Dobson) Clayton was born 22 Jan 1755 in Dover, Kent County, Delaware, and died 12 Jul 1828 in Transylvania County, North Carolina. Lambert Clayton, Revolutionary War Soldier, enlisted in the war from Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. He fought in the battles of Kings Mountain, Guilford Court House and Eutaw.
