The Vouchers, Threads of Evidence

Different Threads of Evidence
When you visit the probate court of a court house or research online, do not forget to search the vouchers found with the estate.   Vouchers are the given by persons paid out on the estate and more importantly, the heirs. This is where to find the names of daughters as husbands received in behalf of wives. All of the vouchers should be thoroughly examined because they contain such things as who the widow (or widower) remarried, names of children and their current place of residence, location of land tracts and if the plantation was sold and who purchased. Just lots of goodies!
